Middle of the night, and all is quiet. No traffic noise, no screaming, it's just quiet.

A moment of solitude, and island in what is otherwise a flurry of activity.

I'm alone for the holidays this year. And I'm okay with that. I want to spend some time cuddling with my pets and curled up under the warm blankets being all toasty-warm.

It's rare that I get quiet time like this anymore. It's kinda nice.
