Okay, first pass at the edit done, what I have to do is export the selected region from Speed Razor as an UNCOMPRESSED RGB AVI file. Then I Import that file into Vegas, where I can then render it as a Windows Media, or Quicktime, or other formats as necessary.
Yeah, I know, pain in the ass. Comes with the territory.
So I try to render it as a custom-sized WMV file, since it's shot in 16:9.
Apparently the WMV9 codec doesn't understand 16:9 format. It crashes the player.
Okay, so I can export a quicktime file as 16:9. Hey, it actually looks pretty decent at 436 x 240.
635 MB. For a little over 60 seconds of footage. Mpeg-4 compressed.
Screw it, it's late. I'll have to try and finish it tomorrow. I still need to convert the crime scene stills.
