Being on the short-bus list yesterday made my plans for working on the SybilReplicant go completely awry, so I didn't finish it as I had planned to do. Which means that I try and finish it tonight. Which is probably okay.
I had to change the way I was going to put it together because of size constraints. Rather than adding a layer of urethane to the interior, I'm adding boning to help keep the shape, kind of like a corset but a lot more complex. Which brings up an interesting idea of how to attach it-- I was originally looking at prosthetic adhesive, but I might be able to make it work as an actual corset piece and rely on the costuming to help work the whole effect.
Problem is there's no time to experiment. I'm having to wing it.
I also need to mold the heart in plaster. I have the core sculpt done, which is one of those it's-not-perfect-but-it-will-work things. It's rather recognizable as a heart, but it's not quite the right shape. As much as I'd like to have it be perfect, it's not necessary. And since I have to do essentially a three-part mold, there is no time to fart around.
Especially since as of today, I have no confirmation from anyone involved about shooting this weekend.
