I am pretty much fucking useless at work today. I got some stuff done this morning, and since then I've been mindlessly thrashing over Convergence stuff and the PFH. My body is stiff and sore, probably partly from the laying on the concrete to do the wiring-- hours of uncomfortable positions-- as well as the previous layers of soreness from all the ladder work. And really, half the company is out on vacation including my boss, so trying to get answers to questions is a lot of "I don't know" stuff. Frustrating.

What's the first movie you remember seeing?
Paint Your Wagon. Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin singing. First movie I ever saw by myself was Van Nuys Boulevard. A classic.

Is this the same movie that made you the cinema fan you are today?
Hardly.

If not, what is that movie?
I don't think it was any one movie. I was influenced by several, including Star Wars, Halloween, Alien, The Hills Have Eyes, and Eraserhead.

If you could take any movie character on a date, who would you take and where would you take them?
Okay, my first thoughts were a lot of dirty images, so I figure it would be some hot chick in a fantasy sex scene, which is really good fodder to keep me concentrated on work (Kim Cattral in Mannequin, Sharon Stone in Total Recall, Halle Berry in pretty much anything). Trying to dig a little deeper, Sigourney Weaver from Aliens comes to mind, and I don't know why.
The metacharacter I'm looking for is the "guy's girl", the one who makes you feel like you are the most important thing in the world.

Name a genre of movies that, no matter how hard you try, you can't get into.
Romantic comedies and period dramas tend to leave me a little dry and unfulfilled.
Softcore porn. Not enough sex to be erotic, not enough story to be worth watching.

Sub or dub?
Depends. Hong Kong Karate movies just wouldn't be the same without bad dubbing. Amelie was perfect in subtitles. A lot depends on whether the movie is visual or story driven.

Miramax or New Line?
Whichever one will release my movie.

Ang Lee or Spike Lee?
Pre-Hulk, Ang Lee. Probably post-Hulk, too.

Stan Lee or Bruce Lee?
Bruce. Sorry guys, not a big Stan fan.

Lee Marvin or Lee Majors?
In like Flynt, Lee Marvin.

Chuck Heston or Chuck Norris?
Don't fuck with Heston.

Van Damme or Van Dyke?
Jerry Van Dyke.

Warren Beatty or Ned Beatty?
I think Ned is more interesting.

Freddie Prinze Jr. or Freddy Krueger?
Freddie Kruger in the original Nightmare on Elm Street.

The last movie you saw was:
Theater: X2
TV: Dementia 13

Your perfect meal:
To eat: Hmmm... I'd say prime rib, baked potato & peas, spicy asian chicken pizza, or lobster.
To cook: grilled chicken stir-fry.

The one thing I want the World to know about me is:
I am really worth knowing.

My mind is wandering badly now. I think I'll go home. I'm not getting anything useful done here anyway.
